One of the seven
goals on my
Infinite Master To Do List is Creativity. I wish to
be creative every day. I have loved to
write ever since I
discovered my talent for writing at the age of eleven. I mastered
almost every style of writing I've tried since then, including various
styles of
poetry.
I've kept a journal since 1997 and a
blog (friends only) since
2004. I'm trying to write a fantasy novel series set in
Hirapis, a land that I
created.
I also like to craft. I learned to sew in
Girl Scouts as a child,
and my mother taught me how to
latchhook.
After my last seizure
in 1995 (I have
epilepsy),
I started
candlemaking.
In 2007 when I
finished organizing my
home office
(for the first time), I found a
crochet hook given to me by a distant cousin when I was a child.
I decided to try my hand at
crocheting
again, but it's a lot harder
than it looks, so I returned to latchhook.
SARK (Susan Ariel Rainbow
Kennedy), the talented artist and author,
encourages her fans and readers to live their creative dream
lives. My creative dream life would be where my writing
and my business are so successful that I can quit my day job and
write and
craft for a living.
When we bought our current
house
in 2005, I hoped to live that dream
in earnest, but reality keeps getting in the way. I had some
really bad years in 2006 (the deaths of my cats
Queen Goober and
Princess Lunch) and
2007 (the deaths of my parents after long
illnesses). I spent 2008 and 2009 battling depression and anxiety stemming
from the aforementioned losses, so I'm determined to make
2010 the year
that I do something
to make my creative dreams come true. In 2009, I organized my
home office
so it's functional, including
filing over thirty years of "stuff"
- most
to be burned. Updating my
websites is another step toward the goal of creativity.
